Brandeis University was founded in 1948 by members of the American Jewish community and reflects the traditions of scholarship and community service and the commitment to social justice personified by Louis D. Brandeis, the distinguished Supreme Court justice for whom the university is named.
Since it founding, BNC has raised more than $115 million in support of Brandeis University, its libraries and neuroscience research. Gifts to the BNC are tax deductible.
Brandeis National Committee is dedicated to providing philanthropic support to Brandeis University, a distinguished liberal arts and research university founded by the American Jewish community. Its membership is connected to the university through fundraising and through activities that reflect the values on which the university was founded: academic excellence, social justice, nonsectarianism and service to the community.
