The Greater Washington Chapter of BNC held our Paid up New Member Coffee on August 27, 2015. It was attended by 53 new members and 42 “established” members. To say the least, it was an impressive turnout.
The event went from 2 – 4 P.M. and our guests were served delicious pastries and fruit and, of course, coffee and tea.
It was a wonderful way to start a new year. There was much joy among our returning members who attended. For our new members it was a great way to meet so many returning members, to experience the camaraderie among them, and to learn about the opportunities that await them when they become active.
Ten committee chairs spoke briefly and answered any questions that arose. We encouraged people to get involved and hopefully they will.
We are looking forward to a great year. If you know someone who is interested in joining, please let us know and we will be sure to invite them to the next Coffee for prospective members.
