There definitely was a WOW factor to this year’s Book and Author Luncheon. When you opened the doors on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 and saw the festive and colorful tables settings and the wonderful center pieces, it took your breath away. The Book and Author Committee, under the leadership of Sheila Schrier and Sandy Levinson, did a magnificent job organizing. Everything moved along smoothly while providing a welcoming atmosphere to all.
The authors provided a diversity of subject matters ranging from personal, to aging , to politics. They were all enlightening, engaging, and entertaining as they talked about their books and how they came to write them. As always, the attendees asked some interesting questions which added so much to the discussion.
A wonderful time was had by the more than 260 attendees who helped us raise money for Sustaining the Mind, a research endeavor at Brandeis University to study neuro-degenerative diseases.
Thanks to all for supporting us and we look forward to seeing you all again at our next event.
