‘Jewish Luck’

Save the Date– January 20, 10:00 a.m.,  at Seacrest Village. Meet author Meryll Levine Page, who wrote, with her sister, Leslie Levine Adler,  Jewish Luck: A True Story of Friendship, Deception  and Risky Business. Leslie and Meryll

Jewish Luck tells the story of two women, Vera and Alisa, in Soviet Russia. The book is based on a real forbidden friendship between co-author  Leslie Adler (left, Meryll on right) and the Russian Vera, which began in Leningrad in 1976. Together, they fought anti-Semitism under the Soviet regime and the ‘new’ Russia, and built their ‘luck’. The real Vera had to overcome the Soviet teachings she grew up with but built a successful business in Russia. The book provides a fascinating firsthand view of life in Russia under two regimes.
