Get Involved

Social Justice

BNC Westlake has chosen Dottie’s House, a local shelter for abused women and their children. Members prepare birthday boxes, filling them with small gifts for the boys and girls who are staying at the shelter with their moms. It is hoped that these gifts will help bring some joy to these children. For more questions on how to get involved with this project, contact Elene Kurtzman.

The chapter also donates school supplies to our Back to School project.  These school supplies aid the MOMS of Jackson in their efforts to help struggling families get their children ready for the new school year. Contact Charna Phillips & Violet Vietoris for more information.

And the Children’s Hospital of St. Peter’s University accepted donations of knitted or crocheted caps for young patients.

Social Justice is a core value Louie Brandeis, the founder and namesake of Brandeis University, established as a path students to this day emulate. It is an honor that our chapter continues this legacy.
