On Tuesday March 31st, the Department of Economics hosted a personal finance seminar that was organized by the UDRs.  Michael Bertini was kind enough to lead the event, which was held in Ridgewood Commons.  The goal of the seminar was to educate students with little or no background in finance on basic, yet extremely important financial topics.  These include spending and saving, credit control and major financial assets.  Oftentimes, graduating students are unsure of how to properly take control of their financial futures.  We hope that this seminar was informative and shed light on some unfamiliar topics. We are looking forward to planning more in the future!

Albert Einstein once said, “Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world.  He who understands it, earns it … he who doesn’t … pays it.”  Those who attended the event will certainly be earning it.
