It is our pleasure to share the news that Professor Benjamin Gomes-Casseres‘ book, Remix Strategy, is being released today.   Professor Gomes-Casseres is an IBS Professor, a Brandeis alumni, and a good friend of the Economics Department.

Officially, Remix Strategy helps managers “remix” internal and external resources to create new value.  Professor Gomes argues that from the IBM-Apple alliance to big pharma mergers and IoT ecosystems, a successful remix always follows three laws – the book explains these laws and provides twenty tools for strategic decision making. Cases from a wide range of companies illustrate the principles and practices.

Unofficially, we like to think that this book takes Ronald Coase‘s The Nature of the Firm and makes it operational.
