In this extraordinary situation we are facing due to COVID-19, it’s easy to feel isolated. For those of us in admissions, transitioning to working from home has meant that we’re unable to connect to students in the ways we’re accustomed to. For me, welcoming students to campus and meeting prospective students at graduate school fairs is one of the most meaningful parts of my job, and its loss is deeply felt.
However, I’ve learned during these seven weeks of social distancing how important forging and maintaining connections is. Like many, I’ve taken this time to reach out to family and friends that I might otherwise not have; I also want to take this time to connect with Heller prospective students, admitted students, and current students. The Heller community has been incredible and inspiring throughout this time, and I want to do all I can to make sure you can experience it, no matter how far away you are.
I’m proud to announce our revamped Heller blog, which I hope to use to share perspectives from our current students, tips for your application, how to choose the right graduate program, and so much more, throughout this current challenge and beyond.

I am very glad to be part of Heller. My prayer is for the pandemic to be over soon so we can unite as family.
