Library Hours March 14

Due to inclement weather, the Goldfarb Library will be closed on Tuesday, March 14.

The Farber Library will be open for study hall from 8:30AM – 2:00AM.

Undergraduates: Submit your work for the Library Research Award!

From working with students throughout the year, Brandeis librarians know that you work on great research papers and projects! To recognize undergraduate students who apply exemplary library research skills, we’ll be awarding two Library Research Awards this year. Two $250 prizes will be awarded.

Research projects produced between January 1, 2016 and May 7, 2017 are eligible for this year’s award. (You can submit work produced anytime during the spring semester 2016, summer 2016, fall 2016, or spring 2017.)

Submissions are due May 7, 2017.

To celebrate Fair Use Week. We wanted to highlight the Brandeis Institutional Repository (BIR)! Established in 2008, the BIR is a resource for the Brandeis community to showcase, organize, share, and preserve research and scholarship in an Open Access repository. The information shared in the BIR allows research and creative works to be more widely available, increases scholarly communications, assures long-term reservation of scholarly output in a wide range of formats, and allows Brandeis research and education to be showcased in one location. In addition, contributors are assured of a digital repository with permanent URLs. Below we’ve highlighted resources as an example of work from the BIR. (more…)
