While trying to install Windows 7 on a white iMac I got an immediate BSOD when it restarted.
The fix for this (other than NOT installing Win 7) was to boot to the CD choose repair then get to the command prompt and delete C:/Windows/system32/drivers/nvlddmkm.sys
