There’s more to the Borscht Belt than the Concord, Grossinger’s and the Nevele. Come hear Jack Leshner tell us the full history of the Borscht Belt, starting at the end of World War I through the Great Depression and its heydays of post World War II, ending with the decline in the early 1970s. Jack Leshner, along with his parents, Benjamin and Bella Leshner, and his brother Mischa, were the owners of The Harmony Country Club on Lake Anawana in Monticello, NY.  It was a family run hotel, very similar to almost all of the hotels of the Catskills at that time. The hotel was situated on 150 acres and accommodated approximately 450 guests.
