BNC Mission
Brandeis National Committee is dedicated to providing philanthropic support to Brandeis University, a distinguished liberal arts and research university founded by the American Jewish community. Its membership is connected to the university through fundraising and through activities that reflect the values on which the university was founded: academic excellence, social justice, nonsectarianism and service to the community.
BNC History
The vision for Brandeis was realized in the aftermath of World War II when members of the American Jewish community came together to create a place of academic excellence for all who valued learning. At a time when institutions were barring top students due to quotas, Brandeis accepted students based on intellect above all other factors. Since 1948 Brandeis University has exceeded expectations and developed into a world renowned research university.
