Founded in 1980, the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies at Brandeis University is a multi-disciplinary research center dedicated to the study of American Jewry and religious and cultural identity. The Steinhardt Social Research Institute, hosted at CMJS, is committed to the development and application of innovative approaches to soci-demographic research for the study of Jewish, religious, and cultural identity.
