Position: UX Designer

Position Details: 

Wayfair is looking for a User Experience design professional with a proven record of creating engaging experiences that foster repeat visitation. The ideal candidate is self-directed, analytical, and creative.

Executing interactive design and informing visual design as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the perfect candidate researches UX design trends and lives and breathes e-commerce best practices. At the end of the day, we want natural shoppers with the ability to dive into the customer mindset.

(IA) Information Architect Responsibilities

  • Limited ability to produce detailed IA documents, ensuring all details are distinct and user-friendly. All documents must clearly define the scope of the relevant project. These deliverables include: Site maps, user flows/task flows, user journeys, page flows, taxonomies/folksonomies, paths to purchase, etc

Interaction Designer Responsibilities

  • Produce fully annotated wireframes and functional specifications
  • Make interaction recommendations based on existing Wayfair UX design standards and industry best practices
  • Work closely with front end developers to ensure user-facing experiences meet our interaction design standards
  • Lead cross-functional design reviews for all necessary deliverables

User Researcher Responsibilities

  • Generate design prototypes to utilize during research
  • Competitive analysis: Evaluate competitor and industry websites. Provide a meaningful analysis of the findings
  • Conduct research that address both user behavior and attitudes
  • Conduct research using various qualitative and quantitative methods. This includes first person and remote research.
  • Conduct research using the following techniques: Competitive Analysis, User Interviews, Usability Testing, Mall Intercept

General Responsibilities

  • Produce design deliverables utilizing the Sketch app
  • Determine how HTML, CSS and JavaScript production issues might impact UX decisions and visual design considerations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of UX design experience for consumers and consumer brands—a big plus if you have experience in e-commerce
  • Exceptional knowledge of Sketch, PhotoShop the rest of the Adobe Suite
  • Unfailing advocacy for the user. This should be demonstrated in concepts, user flows, wireframes, and features that work across devices to produce a seamless user experience
  • Analytical thinking and a love of focusing on things like flow, scenarios, and usability
  • Demonstrated passion for mobile design
  • Prototyping that brings to life ideas that can be put into seamless user testing
  • The confidence and self-motivation to drive forward projects that have unclear direction or unknown variables
  • An online portfolio that includes e-commerce work, mobile wireframes, or comps, and demonstrates strategic thinking

Identity & Access Management Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for an IAM Account & Access Administrator, will be responsible for administration of various BCBSMA applications security. This role requires experience working with large scale IAM solutions, developing and executing operational processes and aligning tightly with business needs. The primary deliverable for this person is to govern and administer the accounts and access including mainframe applications.

Responsibilities:

  • The Security Administrator will be accountable for initiating the process for creating user access and timely notification of ID’s and passwords enterprise wide.
  • Provide IT Security governance and collaborate with external vendor Security personnel, Help Desk and BCBSMA business area SME.
  • Administrators to provide effective communication and appropriate authorized access.
  • Coordinate and review reporting/tracking on status of access to legacy systems, remote access, and internal LAN based systems.
  • Support requests for remote access.
  • Streamline and ensure removal of all account access for associates and non-associates that have terminated employment or services with BCBSMA. Must also integrate and maintain HR and audit termination requirements.
  • Implement and support day-to-day computer security controls including but not limited to creating access and control, monitoring, security awareness relating to BCBSMA mainframe, Active Directory, desktop computers, and VPN.
  • Consult, Implement, and manage access associated with e-commerce products.
  • Develop and support audit related reporting to business for protected business groups, products & access types.
  • Other relevant job duties as assigned or required by IT/Business to support environment changes.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Information Technology is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory and LDAP is highly desired.
  • Previous Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Mainframe, Unix and/or Solaris is a plus.

Title: Assistant Professor in the University Tenure Line (UTL)

Where: Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine in Stanford University, to be identified as the optimal home department of the successful candidate.

Qualifications: Interested in candidates who have a doctoral degree in computer science, electrical engineering, bioinformatics or related field and who have research interests in clinical or translational informatics, bioinformatics, or related subdisciplines, and who have or will develop an independent research program in the computational sciences. The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The successful candidate will conduct a vigorous, independent research program, teach in the classroom, and advise students in any of a number of graduate programs in computational sciences. Faculty members appointed as Assistant Professors will have completed one or two years of postdoctoral research experience. Their accomplishments during graduate and postgraduate training should already have stamped them as creative and promising investigators. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in developing novel analytical tools to analyze the cellular composition of organs and/or tissues and who can complement and enhance existing strengths in stem cell biology, cancer biology, developmental biology, bioinformatics, and bioengineering within the Institute and the University.

We expect the successful candidate to establish an innovative research program studying fundamental stem cell biology. Responsibilities include teaching graduate students and research-oriented medical students in an area that would complement the Institute’s existing strengths.

The activities of the Division/Department are diverse and include basic, translational and clinical applications in embryonic stem cells, reprogramming, cancer stem cells and adult stem cells. The stem cell biology and regenerative medicine activities offer unique opportunities for the successful candidate to build a strong program of independent research complemented by collaborative efforts across different departments.
