My name is Patrick Flahive. I am a current junior majoring in business and environmental studies and I am a member of the Brandeis men’s soccer team. I am interested in both business and sustainability and am looking to incorporate both aspects into my job. After working at Harvard’s Office for Sustainability, I am looking for business internships to broaden my scope on what industry I want to work in. I am still unsure of what industry I want to go into and I am seeking any advice, or recommendations that you may have.

My name is Melissa Darling and I am currently majoring in Business and Psychology with a minor in Economics. I am seeking advice on what my next steps should be going forward with my future. I cannot decide if I should apply to the BA/MBA program here at Brandeis and get my masters in one more year, or if I should try entering the work force, specifically a rotational program, to get experience and then go back to school in the future and possibly have my business pay for me. I am looking to hear from alumni who had to make a similar choice, what they did, and if that was the right choice for them.

Graduating senior, member of the Women’s Soccer team, majoring in Business, seeking advice about breaking into the consumer products, sports, or fashion/retail industry at the corporate level. My dream is to fulfill a marketing/advertising or public relations leadership position within a large, global retailer. Post-graduation I plan on moving to New York City, Washington D.C., or staying in Boston for a full-time position. I am currently an Account Management Intern at Blitz Media in Waltham, MA where I support strategic media planning and research for clients such as Carbonite, Sears, American Dental Partners, and Elements Massage. This past summer, I interned at an athletic event services company in Somerville, MA, where I acquired skills and experience in marketing/communications, business development, and social media planning. I would love to chat with anyone working in these various industries about their career path. Thank you for your time and consideration!

I’m a current junior double majoring in Business and Economics with a minor in Politics, and a member of both the Women’s Soccer Team and Track & Field teams. I have an interest in working in finance or a data-oriented field such as marketing analytics. I am looking for information and advice on how to narrow down my focus to steer my career path and internship search in a more specific direction. I have particular interest in the following finance fields: Asset Valuation, Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, and Corporate Banking, but I’m open to any suggestions and willing to learn about different fields! I would greatly appreciate any insight or advice you would be willing to give me!

I am a student-athlete seeking advice on Masters programs in the Greater Boston area. As an avid spectator of sports and life-time athlete I am excited to pursue a career in the sports and events industries. Last summer I was able to intern with the Brooklyn Nets, and I would love the chance to speak with someone who has some insight in the marketing, finance, or corporate sponsorships areas as well. I would also like to pursue a graduate program in marketing, not specifically sports marketing or sports administration. I am considering the new Brandeis University IBS BA/MBA program, and I am interested in what alumni and professionals think of this new program and others.

I am currently a junior with a dual major in Business and Psychology and a member of the Women’s soccer team. I had the opportunity to work with a growing business-
to-business company this past summer as the marketing intern and would like
to gain insight into what is the next best step into pursuing a marketing career
after I graduate. I am curious as to whether it is best to intern with more than
one company, or to return to the same company? What do the different roles of marketing entail? I would like to speak with alumni to gather as much knowledge from others’ experiences as I can in furthering my career.
